Dear Football Parent,
We are pleased to see that you and your child are interested in football at Arlington Football Association also known as the AFA. Our organization partners with the Pop Warner League.
Affiliation with this Association requires an extreme amount of time, sacrifice and commitment for both parents and kids; this is often not realized until after the season begins. We feel that it is very important that parents and children understand and discuss fully the responsibilities, dedication and obligation it takes to participate at AFA.
Please review the following topics:
(Standard until Aug 1st) per registered player. All other siblings receive a $25 discount .All payments are non- refundable NO EXCEPTIONS. NSF checks will be charged a $50 fee. Any unpaid NSF fees will be submitted to the State Attorney’s Office for collection.
COMMITMENT: Football is a 4 to 5 month commitment beginning in August and possibly ends in December. Please understand that any missed games and practices must be worked out with the head coach.
PRACTICES: Beginning of August 1st – 3 to 4 nights a week for 2 to 2.5 hours per night.
GAMES: Each player will have eight regular season games. Play-off games are contingent on the team’s record and availability of competition. Home games are played at the Lions Field (Arlington). Away games are played throughout Jacksonville. Schedules are distributed each September by the Pop Warner league.
VOLUNTEERS: This is a volunteer organization; all board members, coaches and team moms are donating their time. To make AFA the BEST Association in Jacksonville, we need parents to get involved!!! If everyone contributes a little we can accomplish a lot. Remember, this is volunteer work and NO ONE GETS PAID. It’s all about fun for the kids.

BEHAVIOR: Coaches, football players, cheerleaders and parents are expected to abide by a strict policy concerning discipline, behavior, and the respect toward others adults and children. Affiliation with the association is a privilege and can be revoked by the board of directors due to misconduct at anytime during the season. All children are encouraged to maintain good grades and reports cards will be collected.
DOCUMENTS: All participants are required to submit a copy of their certified birth certificate, final report card for the previous school year and Pop Warner physical to the registration office prior to August 1 of the current year.
